Further along the trail, near the second river cut-off, we encountered another slime mold, similar to sightings from the previous week. These fungi continue to fascinate, highlighting the lush undergrowth of the glacier environment.

Stonehenge Weather Conditions

Reaching the area known as Stonehenge, we experienced a slight drop in temperature to 13.5°C with humidity at 69.5%. Although broken clouds persisted, the visibility remained excellent, offering panoramic views of the surrounding glacier-scape.

Overcast at the Glacier Toe
